Abigail Chauke is determined to continue her father’s legacy!

Genesis

Greek Statesman, Pericles once said, “What you leave behind is not what is engraved in stone monuments, but what is woven into the lives of others.”

Abigail Chauke, a law student from the University of Limpopo, has decided to continue her late father’s legacy through something that is close to her heart. Her late father, Pastor Morris Chauke was a Bible teacher, a high school educator, a passionate and uncompromising teacher of the word of God, prolific author and self publisher and the founder  and lead Pastor of Philadelphia Word of Life Centre based in Nkowankowa, near Tzaneen, Limpopo.

When describing her late father, she lovingly says, “My dad was a servant. His personality was service. He was a true reflection and personification of the love of God”. She emphasizes that she would love for him to be remembered the most for the word of God he passionately shared and preached, not forgetting his loving, caring and supportive nature.

“I realized that the camera is my happy space so not only will I be breathing in the best way I can- I will also be carrying my father’s legacy while running my own race, ” she proudly says. In honour of her  father’s legacy, Abigail hosts Facebook live sessions every Monday at 19:00 giving a chapter to chapter breakdown of his book, Practice Makes Perfect. Apart from Practice makes Perfect, Pastor Morris Chauke has published other books titled, God wants you healed, Blessed through the Word, Sweeter than Honey.

Abigail says she is excited to share her world with the rest of the world, “ I’m excited to share God’s revelations, wisdom and treasures with people, ” she says. The young lady says she wants to encourage people to read more as there is a legacy left in books, to introduce concepts of how to read better and to use what we learn from reading. Additionally, she would love for the sessions to lead people into the full expression of God’s love and emphasizes this by quoting  2 Thessalonians 3:5 [NLT] which reads, “ May the Lord lead your hearts into a full understanding and expression of the love of God and the patient endurance that comes from Christ.”

The Facebook live sessions have received a warm reception since their inception and for the audience, every Monday is a date!
