The gospel music star, Ayanda Shange celebrated his birthday on Friday the 19th of February and many flocked to wish him a happy birthday. Ayanda Shange is known for being a crazy praiser and sets any stage on fire with his songs and dance moves. The list of those who wished him a happy birthday included his industry friends such as Ayanda Ntanzi, Nozipho Phiri, Andile Thabethe, Sbu Noah, Mabongi Ferry, Nqubeko Mbhatha among many others.

He hosted an instagram live with his  wife, Koketso Shange who he owns his production company,  AYKO Production with.  Ayanda couldn’t help but be grateful for the life he has now. “I grew up without a family. Losing my mom at 10 years and my father at 15, I don’t know a family’s love, so I always thank God for my family. I always wake up in the morning and thank God that even though it is Covid and we are not working, atleast I have my family,” he says.

Ayanda grew up in Folweni, a small township in the South of Durban. He shares how he remembers being popular around the township for being an orphan and having to go from house to house. At times, it would get so bad that he used to buy three fat cakes(amagwinya) and have one for each time of the day, breakfast ,lunch and dinner.

Ayanda says even though we face many different struggles today, they could never compare to the ones he went through as a young boy. This all the more increased his gratitude as he could have never imagined that his life would amount to what it is today.

Ayanda was excited to share that his wife’s single will be coming out, so people should be expecting it very soon. His latest album, Altar of Praise is also available on major digital streaming platforms, so what are you waiting for? Go get it and get your crazy praise on?
