My country is mourning for her daughters
The ones she has to see return to the soil
My country is mourning for her daughters
The ones she has lost in the hands of the one who’s rib she came from
Amidst her pain,
May every tear not go unnoticed
May every tear be a silent prayer to the Heavens
May God hear her and heal her land

It is a terrifying fact to fathom that women are not safe in the hands of a society that is supposed to
protect them ,it is even more terrifying to think that this is the reality we live in as a country . Our
hearts bleed as more and more people experience the atrocities of gender-based violence especially
in the hands of those who claim to love them.
These appalling continuous occurrences have not only caused our hearts to bleed but have blatantly
shattered the idea of what love should be and look like . The book of Corinthians reminds us of the
type of love we should mirror.
Love is patient.
Love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered.
It keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
As the church, it is prime time we unite especially in prayer to fight this giant. It is quite apparent
that this battle is not only in the physical but needs punches in the spiritual realm as well. We say
this anchoring ourselves in the confidence of knowing that in the kingdom that we represent ,giants
are still being slain even today.
It is beyond thought that we are still here after all the liberation we have had in this country. It is disgusting to even think that people are capable of such animalistic behavior. We need to teach the boy child, we need to raise awareness in our communities, we need to rise up as the body of Christ and stop fighting each other over doctrines and buildings.
That is so true, we need to re-direct our focus and unite. We all represent the church of Christ and we have a common enemy. Fighting against each other distracts us from fighting the real enemy. How I pray God delivers us and help our generation raise men who will do better than what we are seeing today.
It’s worth having the conversation, more now than ever! Over and above teaching the boy child, we need to teach the girl child how not to fall into the shoes of a victim as if it’s a legacy, a legacy we should never allow to continue. There’s still so much to do, only God can heal our land.
May God help us. We need to take care of the girl child as well to avoid her from easily falling into the shoes of a victim, this legacy should not be allowed to continue.
That is so true 🙌It’s about time that we take a stand.. May God help us and heal our Land.
