Katlego Mailula is a precocious young man born and raised in a small township outside of Tzaneen
called Lenyenye in Limpopo.
The knowledge about Real estate and Property was never something he
was exposed to while growing up and adding to that he did not know of any real estate agents
therefore he could have never fathomed that he would end up having a career in that field like he is today.
Just after matric he had no idea on what career path he wanted to pursue so taking a gap year
seemed like the best decision at the time. Destiny called his name when he got accepted to study
Property Investments and Practice at Wits university. During the duration of his studies the love for
Real Estate sprung up. He quotes Isaiah 60:22 which says, “When the time is right, I the Lord will
make it happen”. He says he has found purpose in what he does and believes God has been the One
behind him finding his purpose. He again quotes Isaiah 60:22 which says, “When the time is right, I
the Lord will make it happen”. He furthermore quotes Mathew 6:33 which says, “seek ye first the
kingdom of God and His righteousness, and the rest shall be added unto you”. He gladly
acknowledges that God is the source of his strength and knowledge and the mastermind behind
everything he is.
Going solo and starting his own business “KM Exclusive Properties” was not a walk in the park. This is
something he had to think long and hard about. The thrill of always wanting to be two steps ahead
of everything he was involved in and wanting to educate other young people about Real Estate and
investing into property is what pushed him to start his business..
With the cloud of Gender Based Violence that has overshadowed our country, Katlego and other
people from his area decided to educate others about Gender based violence. This initiative included
an “anti-GBV “convoy which entered different parts of the township. They realised that the more
areas they visited, the more people got educated about it. He expresses his gratitude to
EmbaKubMotoring, The Palace Kitchen and the rest of the team for making the Gender Based
violence Convoy a success and says this will not be their last feat.
The young man’s future looks gleaming and he is already climbing on to greater heights. He has
ventured into Architecture, Construction and Interior design and with time he believes KM Exclusive
Properties will be the best Estate Agency the world has to offer.
