Ncebakazi bags Song of the Year Award

The anticipation toward the 9th Independent National Gospel Music Awards ( INGOMA) had been rising throughout the past weeks and on the 27th of August 2022, the day finally came. The Award ceremony took place at Red Conference Center in Greenstone, Johannesburg.

Ncebakazi Msomi’s latest Album, The 34th Psalm has received a warm reception since its release with Ukufezwa Kwamadinga proving to be an all-time favourite. This was cemented even more when the song was nominated in the “Song of the Year” category at this year’s INGOMA Awards.

Attendees stood on their feet in excitement as the winner was announced; Ncebakazi took the big win and Ukufezwa Kwamadinga was announced as ‘The Song of the Year’.

This has been a very good year for the artist as she was also a nominee at this year’s South African Music Awards (SAMAs). The Awards ceremony took place on the 28th of August in Sun City. She was nominated in the ‘ Best Contemporary Faith Album’ and the ‘Newcomer of the Year’ categories alongside prolific South African musicians.

The artist took to her social media to show her gratitude to those supporting her music ministry and most importantly gave all the glory to God!
