Oncemore Six: A message of Hope

Genesis

Husband, father and music minister of note, Oncemore Six has released an anthem that will keep us clinging to hope in these trying times.

Many industries have taken a hard knock because of the covid-19 pandemic and the music industry was no exception. Oncemore talks about the inspiration behind his new single and shares that it was written from a place of pain. “Everything is closed now so I had to say, Oncemore are you doing this for bookings or are you doing it because God called you to do it?”, he says. For the artist, this was a major turning point in his faith and unbeknownst to him, all these experiences were molding his single, Ngeke Ngsuke Kuwe

He delightfully speaks about his collaboration with the Mmuso church for this single. He says, “me ending up at Mmuso church was an act of obedience, I had to sacrifice and obey God and say that it is God’s will so that is where I’m going. And now a few months down the line, I am here, and I released a beautiful single with Mmuso church which I probably wouldn’t have released if I had not obeyed.” The artist says he enjoyed working with the different departments in the church such as the worship team, the creative team and their pastor. “Everyone was so supportive and they’re a big part of why the song is so successful,” he says.

The song has received a warm reception by listeners even ranking number 1 on iTunes after its release and also taking the number 1 spot on, Gospel News SA’s playlist top 20. When asked about how he feels about the influx of love received from the song he says, “it is the most heartwarming and satisfying thing. For me it is priceless, it is worth more than any payment or gig fee. If I could get someone’s life changed, influenced and impacted through my ministry, that is priceless.” This for Oncemore is what he calls living in his purpose.

He expresses his gratitude to everyone who has been following him and believing in his ministry and not leaving out those who have been pushing so hard for his song to get to people. “They should continue sharing this message of hope and I only pray and hope that my ministry will continue impacting their lives and bringing them closer to God”, he says. Oncemore hopes the song encourages people that no matter how hard it gets, the will of God will always prevail.

Ngeke Ngsuke Kuwe is available on all major streaming platforms. Go get it, and get your hope revived!
