An amazing worship picnic is coming up in Polokwane and you do not want to miss it. December 16 is the date to remember. The picnic will be held at the Seshego stadium. The picnic is organized by the phenomenal and greatly gifted Beth-EL. She shares that the idea of having a worship picnic instead of a formal worship setting was so that people feel more relaxed in the presence of God and to show people that fellowship is still needed. The apostles in the book of Acts taught the believers that they should live by “the apostle’s teachings and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread”, Acts 2:42, and that is what Beth-EL hopes to emphasize. God loves fellowship so why not please Him?
“Where we worship is not important, what is important is ‘do we know who we are worshiping, and do we have a relationship with Him?’”, she shares. She adds that a lot of people are uncomfortable with church settings because it all looks like a fashion parade and they are afraid they do not belong. The picnic is therefore to encourage people that God just wants our hearts. She quotes Matthew 15:7-8 “[7]You pretenders (hypocrites)! Admirably and truly did Isaiah prophesy of you when he said: [8]These people draw near Me with their mouths but their hearts hold off and are far from Me”. She encourages people to come and be free to worship God with their hearts without worrying about what they are wearing and who is watching. She adds that the most important mandate of the picnic is to win souls to the Lord, “I believe when we worship God in truth and in spirit, God will draw all men to Himself”. She adds that there could not have been a better time than now to bring people closer to God with crisis that the world is facing.

There is an amazing lineup of singers and speakers. The great Muzi Mthabela will be a one of the speakers. Up and coming musicians will be there to perform, “to encourage them to worship God without wearying”. The likes of bishop Peter Lebelo and Annitji Sibiya will also be part of the lineup. Thobela FM presenter Laelo Mahlo and Paulizer Mulaudzi ” Best MC” should be expected too. People should expect to have fun at the picnic as there will be space to braai, bikers for entertainment and a kiddie corner with games. This is a family event so do not leave the kids behind.
Tickets are available at churches around Polokwane or you can contact Beth-EL herself on Facebook, she is @Bethel Worshipper. You can also follow any updates by checking the same page.
