They have golden voices accompanied by unmatched creativity. Hush SA has proven to be the people’s favourite throughout their journey on Old Mutual’s Amazing Voices competition. Every week, the group brought their a-game and after all their hard work were crowned the champions of the competition. The six-piece gospel group comprises of all male singers, Tsholofelo Ntuli, Phumulani Tshabalala, Sinethemba Magubane, Zamokuhle Nkosi, Thamsanqa Mthabela and Nicholas Malimba.
These young men embody resilience. The team had tried out for the first season of the competition and even though they did not achieve what they had hoped for, they continued working on their craft. Tsholofelo Ntuli, a proud member of the group, shares with us why they decided to try out for the second time. “We’ve done a lot of competitions and we always tell ourselves that we are ready each time, so we felt like it was our time”, he says.

Tsholofelo says being on the competition afforded them a lot of pleasures and opportunities. “We mastered the abilitiy to learn each other’s characters. We learnt a lot when it comes to music and saw that the industry is not place where we can relax. We have to think on our feet and our creative juices have to always be flowing,” he enthusiastically says.
Reflecting back on their journey, the team cannot deny the presence of God that led them throughout the competition. “When we stood on stage in all our performances, we felt that the Holy Ghost was on us and every time we refer back to what we’ve done, tears just come running down our eyes.”
The group express their gratitude to everyone who has been rooting for them throughout their journey. “The support they gave us shows that they believe in what we do and that they feel God’s presence in what we do, ” he says. Following the support they have received from fans all around Africa, they have released their single, Indumiso as a gratitude offering.
Indumiso is available for purchase on all major streaming platforms, so what are you waiting for?
