Xihoko for Jesus

Genesis

On the 18th of December the people of Xihoko were graced with the Touching God event which was held at Xihoko Emmanuel Assembly. The event was hosted by Mixo Dawn and his team and  people came in numbers to have a great time in the presence of God.

One of the aims of planning the event was that 90% of the profits where going to charity and Mixo and his team where determined to keep that vision alive. “ One thing that inspired us to plan this event was to basically open up a platform for people to give,” says Mixo.

The stage  was graced with sweet aromas of worship from artists such as Tumie B, Akani, Mkgadee, Ngwako Friday and many more. Tumie B emphasizes the importance of having such events especially with what our country is facing at the moment. “Wether we like it or not we need revival, there is a kind of revival that you can have in your own private space but the bible says when two more are gathered that’s where I will be. So, those are the kind of revivals that we need and restoration just to instil hope in ourselves that hey, despite what is going on right now God is still there and God is still watching over us,” says Tumie B.

It was indeed the place to be and Mixo elaborates on why they chose those specific artists to grace the stage. “We didn’t just want to raise funds, we also wanted to get deeper into worship. We chose them because we knew they are anointed, they carry God and they can lead us into worship”, he excitedly says.

He elaborates that one thing that he hopes that people took from the event is support and adds that “when someone has a vison there are people who are there to support your vision and help you carry it”, he says.

Among the people that attended the event was Khanyisa Machimana. “We are young, and we want to have fun in the house of the Lord so why not?,” she says. When she saw the poster advertising the event from a friend, she knew that’s where she had to be!

Xihoko was definitely the place to be on the 18th of December and it definitely raised the banner that Xihoko is definitely for Jesus!
